Ramayya Vasthavayya is an upcoming Telugu film written and directed by Harish Shankar.
The film is produced by Dil Raju under their Sri Venkateswara Creations banner,
and will star Jr. NTR, Samantha and Shruti Haasan in lead roles. This is the second time Jr. NTR is
acting with Samantha after Brindavanam. The soundtrack will be composed by Thaman,
who will be working with Harish Shankar for the second time in his career.
 The film will have it's cinematography handled by Chota K. Naidu. The film was officially launched on
October 18, 2012 at Dil Raju's office in Hyderabad. Filming began on January 3, 2013 and the film is tentatively scheduled to be released worldwide on September 27, 2013.

NTR Upcoming Film ''Ramayya Vasthavayya"  Film Released on August 9th
The shooting of the movie is currently being done in a non-stop schedule in the surroundings of Hyderabad. The film, in the combination of NTR, who has scored a big hit with Baadshah recently, and Harish Shankar, who is in a good josh with the successes of 'Mirapakay' and 'Gabbar Singh' , has been carrying huge expectations.
The team is planning to release the movie on August 9th.
This is the second time NTR and Samantha has paired up after 'Brundhavanam'. Shruthi Haasab will be seen in a special role in this film. Dil Raju, who had produced super hit film 'Brundhavanam' with NTR, is ready to produce another block-buster movie with him.
Dil Raju said, " The shooting of this film is currently being done in a brisk pace. Currently, a song is being shot in Hyderabad on the lead pair. Harish Shankar, who has changed the characterizations of Raviteja in 'Mirapakay' and Pawan Kalyan in 'Gabbar Singh', has designed a powerful characterization for NTR, which has never seen before. This movie will attract all the classes of audience, not regarding youth, mass or family audience . We have shot extraordinary entertainment scenes in the combination of NTR and Samantha and fantastic action episodes. Baadshah Collections *actuals*: Baadshah 2nd day collection share in AP- Rs3.55 cr (Huge drop), Baadshah 2 days collection share in AP- Rs12.62 cr. USA 3 days box office collection- Rs4.19 cr. The Jr NTR’a latest entertainer has taken the box office by storm in AP as well as USA breaking several records.

After giving 3 flops at box office, Jr NTR has finally made a stunning comeback with Baadshah and that too with a thunderous start at the box office. The movie has opened to great response at the worldwide box office raking in moolah on its first day.

According to the trade analyst Trinath, Baadshah has collected around Rs13.5 cr on its opening day at worldwide box office and its first day AP share is Rs9.25 cr approx. The film has collected Rs1.29 cr on it opening day Thursday at USA box office beating the opening day record of Mahesh Babu’s blockbuster SVSC.

After collecting around Rs9.07 cr on Friday in AP, the film has registered huge drop in its collections. According to the reports, the film has collected Rs3.55 cr on its second day registering a drop of nearly 60% from yesterday.

The film has opened with a rampage at USA box office beating all previous record-holders Telugu films in USA. Previously the SVSC held the highest grossing Telugu film in USA by collecting Rs6.75 cr in its opening weekend (extended) and lifetime of Rs8.75 cr.

According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Baadshah has collected Rs4.19 cr in its 3 days run till Saturday at USA box office and few screens are yet to report. So, with its Sunday collections, $1 million is just a formality and the film will be beating SVSC hopefully in weekend collection reports.

Srinu Vaithla’s Baadshah, the film has collected Rs13.5 cr on its first day including all overseas collections as well as domestic collections. The film is performing really strong in Tamilnadu and Karnataka too.

Srinu Vaitla, who is adept at making a perfect comedy film, has once again proved that he is master in the trade. He has chosen a simple story for Baadshah, but has created a brilliant screenplay. What makes it interesting is its entertainment quotient. The movie has fast-paced narration and he has got a complete grip on it. He has tapped out excellent work from each department. His characterisation is also good.

Director Srinu Vaitla latest directorial venture Baadshah starring Junior NTR and Kajal Aggarwal in leads, has created lot of curiosity among the film goers. Although it has a routine story, the film makes sure that it reaches the expectations that it has created among the viewers prior its release. It is very good masala entertainer with superb performance and rich production values. Junior NTR has proved that he is the real Baadshah. Baadshah is an action movie with all commercial ingredients impress the mass. Junior NTR's stylish and electrifying performance is the main attraction in the film. Srinu Vaitla's interesting narration, S Thaman's rocking music, excellent picturisation, Gopimohan and Kona Venkat's punch dialogues and funny one-lines, Brahmanandam and MS Narayana's rib-tickling comedy, exotic locales, beautiful costumes and a few other things are its other highlights. The biggest drawback of the film is that a few dragging moments in the first half. A couple of romantic songs, Junior NTR's electrifying fight sequences, MS Narayana's comedy, Mahesh Babu's voice-over keep you engaged in the first half. But it is the second half, which is a joy ride for you. It is full of entertainment values like superb comedy and peppy, stunning fights, rich visuals and fast-paced narration, which makes you glued to screens. Thanks to Srinu Vaitla for his excellent direction. Sadhu Bhai (Kelly Dorji) is a don of international crime syndicate and Baadshah (NTR) is an intelligent and aggressive player in his team. Baadshah's father Ranjan (Mukesh Rushi), who is a trusted aide of Sadhu, operates a very profitable casino in Macau. But over a period of time, Sadhu is decides to finish off Baadshah. Why he takes this decision? What is Baadshah's secret motive? Answers to these questions will form the crux of the story.
